Getting better at producing is exciting - you start making full songs from scratch, you begin painting the ideas in your head onto a canvas, you produce tracks and beats that have great potential. But a crucial part of bringing your vision to life comes down to the mix.

I’ve been grateful to mix hundreds of beats throughout my career as a mix engineer, and I can undoubtedly say that learning to mix beats is an incredibly valuable skill to have in today’s music world. Maybe you received beat stems from a beat-maker and know you can make it better with a great mix. Maybe you are mixing a hip hop song for a client. Maybe you are producing beats yourself and want them to shine above the rest.
